cat eats?

I have been looking into changing my cats' food now that I happened to read that the type I recently discovered that Sam LOVES is potentially threatening to him. [Nice.]

I stumbled upon this cat nutrition site and then as I was reading the PDF version of her main argument, I came across a link to this other cat nutrition blog.

After reading, I am grossed out AND stressed out, because apparently I am supposed to be feeding my cats a diet that, as I figured it, would cost me around $4 a day. Yikes. Most days I don't spend that much on my OWN food. Which is actually another problem for a different blog...

In other news, I recently watched the 1975 documentary Grey Gardens, and Little Edie at the end talks about being lonely, concluding that although she loves animals, "cats and raccoons get boring after a while." (She feeds the raccoons that live in her attic - a loaf of Wonderbread and a box of Cat Chow - probably not an approved meal for my cats.)

I agree with the statement, but it must be remembered that cats and raccoons also don't forget about dates you've scheduled or insist on buying the ugly furniture because it's cheaper.

Talky Walky

I think it's hilarious that people post videos of their animals talking and these seem to be such big hits. I found this video of Tiggy saying "Hello" (9 million views)

and couldn't help posting this one of a beautiful Siberian Husky Mishka saying "I love you" (8 million).

Clearly, the fan favorite is of Stina and Mossy talking to each other, though (24.5 million!!!):

AWWWWW!!!

The photo above is a screen shot from a film posted on wimp.com. Troy sent this link to me but didn't post it. I am rectifying his egregious error as much as possible. Please direct all hate mail to him. Thank you.
